Modelle McLure Naron, 80, of Springfield, MO, died Friday July 23, 2010, at the Jordan Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Monticello, a resident of Springfield for the past 15 years and a former resident of Fort Smith, she was a homemaker and had taken care of foster children for over 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ and an avid gardener.



She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Barnes of Springfield, Linda Brewster of Wynne and Charlotte Korzenborn of Springfield; two sons, Paul Naron of Springfield and James Kiger of Lavaca; two sisters, Virginia Robinson of Monticello and Lucille Burroughs of Buhl, AL; a brother, William Fain McLure of Pine Bluff; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Brewster, James Kiger, Jr., and Katherine Kiger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus Naron; her parents, T. L. and Early Ferguson McLure; two brothers, Thomas Franklin McLure and Earl Daniel McLure; and four sisters, Marie Breedlove, Francis Smith, Jewell Wilson and Martha Wood.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Old Troy Cemetery.
