Son of John and Annie Pidwell Pyatt. Husband of Victoria Diane, father of Betty Ruth Springstead, and Anne (Annie) Marie Brown. Ann Marie was raised by her mother's sister and brother in law "The Philips" because her mother Victoria died shortly after her birth. Betty Ruth was 2 years old and remained with her father Claude. Claude was born in Charlestown, Cornwall, England. He came to the U.S.A. on the ship Teutonic from Southhampton England and entered through Ellis Island on April 27, 1911. He was sponsored by a friend named Harry Hancock and lived at 184 Franklin Mine, Houghton, Michigan. Claude was followed by two brothers who also worked in the mines. His brother John later moved to Arizona. He lost a son in WWII. Basil moved to Florida. Eventually, Claude moved to Redford Michigan where he worked for Burroughs Corporation. His two sisters Marie and Margaret lived with him in his later years. They all lived to be close to or over 100 years old.
