Gearldine J. Carroll, 57 of Hilliard passed away Monday, October 2 at St. Vincent's Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a long native of Nassau County, and a homemaker. Carroll was a member of the St. Marys River Primitive Baptist Association for 31 years.

Survivors include her husband Andrew J. Carroll of Hilliard, daughters Teresa Brady of Hephzibah, Georgia and Deena Nelson of Hilliard, sister Marlene Erwin of Hilliard and Carolyn Whipp of Callahan, brothers D.W. Jones of Jacksonville and Ronnie and Wayne Jones of Hilliard. Grandsons Kenneth and Kyle Pullum of Hephzibah, granddaughter Ashely Nelson of Hilliard and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on October 6 at 2pm at Pigeon Creek Primitive Baptist Church with interment in the Mill Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be on today from 7 to 9 pm at the Callahan Funeral Home.
