Corinne Webb Spears, 96, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Manor House assisted living facility. A native of Nashville, TN and a longtime Lookout Mountain, TN resident, Mrs. Spears was a member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, the Lookout Mountain Golf Club, the Lookout Mountain Garden Club, and the Junior League of Chattanooga and served on the board of Little Miss Mag Day Nursery.
Her husband, William D. (Bill) Spears, and a daughter, Corinne S. Silas, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Spears is survived by a daughter, Jean S. Hallowes, Ponte Vedra, FL; grandchildren, Borden R. Hallowes Jr., New York, NY, Suzanne L. Hallowes, Atlanta, GA, Katherine L. Spurlock, Memphis, TN, Bill Spurlock, Chattanooga, TN; greatgrandchildren, Bryan S. Schwarz and Alexandra L. Schwarz, Memphis, TN; and her cousin, Mamie H. Fowler, of Lookout Mountain, TN.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Brian Salter officiating.
The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
An internment for the immediate family will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests consideration for a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Deacons Mercy Fund of the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church.
