Mary Lewis Simon, 81 of Prairie View, Texas, departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2000 in Bellville, Texas. She is preceded in death by both parents; her husband of 46 years, Louis Simon, Sr.,; five children: Rayford Simon, Irvin Simon, Wilford Simon and two twin daughters. Survivors include 10 children consisting of seven daughters: Orelia Alexander of Waller, Texas; Loretha Myers (Felton, Sr) and Mary Simon of Houston, Texas; Lorena Armstomg of Lansing, Michigan; Agnes Simon of Webster, Texas; Erma Simon Sadberry of Prairie View, Texas and Diana Loftis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (William, Sr); three sons: Louis Simon, Jr., (Reba); Isaac Simon and James Simon, all of Houston, Texas; 43 grandchildren, which also includes 67 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Irean Landry of Lake Charles, Louisiana including host of nieces, nephews, relatives and family friends. Visitation was held on Friday, May 5, 2000 at the Bailey Chapel Church of God In Christ, 3004 Sledge Street in Waller, Texas 77484 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service was held on Saturday, May 6, 2000 at the Bailey Chapel Church of God In Christ at 11:00am officiated by Elder Allan Abney, pastor of Bailey Chapel Church of God In Christ. Interment followed at the Hockley Community Cemetery in Hockley, Texas. The repast was later held at the Waller Baptist Church in Waller.
