She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack O. Benitez of Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Jack Primeaux of Slidell; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Allen Benitez of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florine Lazzara and Jewell Janda, both of Tampa, Fla., and Elise Lutz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and three brothers, James Clanton of Tampa, Roy Clanton of Ocala, Fla., and Marcus Clanton, Jr. of Miami, Fla.
Preceded in death by parents, Jency and Marcus Clanton; a sister, Doris Walters; three brothers, Robert, John and Floyd Clanton.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to The Catholic Deaf Center, 2585 Brightside Drive, Baton Rouge, 70820.
