Lafayette ran a mill, Gardner Milling. Flour ,corn and buckwheat. Corn grinder-removed corn off the cob to grind it into mill. Gardner flour was sold in stores around Va. area in paper ; in 25 lb bags or maybe 10 lb bags. (info from my mother; who as a child saw it done and saw the wagons that delivered it to the stores.
