Thomas Di Girolamo Expires at Age 65
Thomas Di Girolamo, 65, died today at 7 a. m. after a lingering illness in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Maranto of 701 West 14th street. Mr. DiGirolamo owned and operated a grocery store at the same address before his illness.
A native of Italy, Mr. Di Girolamo came to Beaumont at the age of 17. He moved to Port Arthur in 1912 and was naturalized in 1925.
Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock in Grammier-Oberle chapel.
Requiem high mass will be sung Thursday at 9 a. m. in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church by the Rev. P. Fernandez, pastor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral home.
In addition to Mrs. Maranto, Mr. Di Girolamo is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Di Girolamo; two other daughters, Mrs. Rose Lee Cappadonna and Mrs. Mary Burns; on son, Frank Di Girolamo, all of Port Arthur; three brothers, Santo Di Girolamo of Beaumont and Peter and Anthony Di Girolamo of Italy, and six grandchildren.
