Frederick was 1st married to Eva Weber on 5 Oct 1817 in ITTLINGEN, HEIDELBERG, BADEN, before immigrating to the USA in 1819. They had two sons Ludwig b. 1818 and Phillip b. 1819; Frederick never saw his 2nd son since he left for the USA before he was born. The Lutheran Church records in the EVANGELISCH, ITTLINGEN, HEIDELBERG, BADEN report Frederick was to send for his family once he was settled in America.
The German church records state his German family believed he did not survive the journey to America, since they never heard from him.

I found records that Ludwig later came to the USA. He was married in Tuscarawas Co., OH in Oct 1840; he later settled in Wilson, Winona Co., Minnesota; he is linked to his father's memorial. I am sure Lewis "connected here in the USA" with his father because Frederick was enumerated on the 1830 & 1840 Census in Tuscarawas Co., OH.

Frederick's baptism record, marriage record, and his two son's baptism records, were sent to me from a member of the Lutheran Church in Ittlingen, Germany in 2014. I would be happy to share them, just contact me thru Frederick's Suggest Edit tab, then "Suggest Other Corrections"

Frederick married Rachel "Eva" Riegel on 13 July 1828 in Stark Co., OH and they were the parents of 11 children; all except one are linked. If any one knows where son William born 1855 is buried, please request a link using the edit tab. William was residing in Michigan when his brother John died. (as reported in John's obit)
