Funeral services for Mrs. Alletia Gannon, 57, wife of James Edward Gannon, 1414 High St., who died Tuesday following a lingering illness, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at First United Brethren Church. Mrs. Gannon became seriously ill Last Nov. 14.

Rev. R. S. Parr will officiate in the last rites. Internment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at Windel-Howland funeral home until noon Friday, when it will be taken to the church.

A native of Lawrence Co. Mrs. Gannon was born Jan. 20, 1887, a daughter of George and Mary Collier Neff. She came to Portsmouth in 1906 and on Dec. 24, 1907 was married to Mr. Gannon.

Mrs. Gannon was a member of the First U. B. Church.

Surviving besides her husband, are four children, Mrs. Mary Thomas, 1330 High St., Earl Gannon of Batimore, Leonard Gannon of the U.S. Army in England, and Jean Gannon, at home; her stepfather, Solomon Kimble of Portsmouth; a brother, William Neff of Coal Grove; a sister, Mrs. May Bradford of Cleveland, and the following half-brothers and half-sisters, Ernest Kimble of Coal Grove, Mrs. Irene Flack of Cleveland, Milford Kimble, Mrs. Verne Molster, and Bernard Kimble of Portsmouth. She also leaves two grandchildren, Nancy and Billy Thomas.
