Peter's brother Myron was a famous and celebrated novelist in the early 20th century whose books portrayed growing up Jewish in Butte and his memories of the raucous mining town. Many of his main characters were inspired by his family and neighbors. His best known works were "Singermann" (1929), "Wide Open Town" (1931), "This Man is My Brother" (1932) and "The Sun Sets in the West" (1935).
Peter died March 12, 1979.
