Floyd Mouton, Jr., 60, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in a local hospital. Mr. Mouton was born in Lafayette, LA and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He worked as a C & C Machinist for Ohmstead for ten years, most of which time he lived in Baytown, TX. He worked forty years in the Oil Industry as a Driller with Big E Drilling. He enjoyed fishing and "napping" in his recliner. Mr. Mouton will be most remembered as a devoted husband, son and father and for his love and loyalty to his wife and mother.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Linda Jones Mouton of Lake Charles; his mother, Rose Fruge Mouton of Lake Charles,three daughters,one son,seven grandchildren,one sister, two brothers,two step-sons,and three step-daughters. He also leaves nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Mouton, Sr., two brothers, Jackie Mouton and Ray Joseph Mouton; one grandchild, Michael Landry and one step- son, Larry Shannon. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 17, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Danny Torres will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
