Son of Johan Kopp

24 years old, died during spanish influenza epidemic

500,000 people died of influenza in US during this period, Montrose Cemetery had between 17 and 30 influenza burials a day. Section G was "potter's field", none ever had a headstone, they were buried one after another. Section G was the back row of the cemetery. Years later Montrose Cemetery sold unused land, Section G was seperated from main cemetery by a group of houses, it is along the tracks and densly wooded. There is no indication that this is the burial place of 12,000 people. Brother of Adam Kopp (1885-1953). Uncle of CHARLES MATHIAS KOPP (1913-2000)
