Mr. J.C. Butcher was born November 23, 1936 to the late Pearl B. and J.C. Butcher in Oakland, Mississippi. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early at Mt. Olive M.B. Church.

J.C. heavenly home going was preceded by his mother Pearl, father J.C, four brother Loyad, Roy, Prentiss, and Phillip.

J.C. was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Gladys Sanders Butcher, to this union three children was born. Two sons James and William, daughter Bobbie. J.C. reunited in Holly Matrimony to Mrs. Etheil Spikner, to this union three child was born.Tina Butcher, Renata Newson and Rochelle Spikner all of Aurora, Illinois. With two Lady friends; Annette Stewart a child was born Sybrina Stewart and five stepchildren; Lynette, Chucky, Rochell, Lamont,Samantha Stewart, all of Aurora, Illinois; With Aldaling Gassion three children was born. Dennis, Darral, Katina Gassion All of Chicago, Illinois.

The time has come for my departure; I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith now there is in store for me the crown of the righteousness which the Lord the Righteous judge will award me on that day.

On Saturday, July 13, 1996 in Holly Spring, Mississippi. J.C. Butcher received his wings and flew home to be with the lord.

J.C. Butcher leaves behind to cherish his memories:two sisters, Patsy Harris of Crenshaw, Ms.; Miss Minnie P. Jackson of Memphis, Tn. Three brother John and James House of Chicago, Illinois, Jimmie House of Sardis, Ms. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, friends and in-laws to mourn his passing.
