Funeral services for Virginia (Gini) Carrillo, 45, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Martin Pia officiating.

Rosary will be on tonight, July 25, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

She died on Sunday, July 23, 2006 at home, surrounded by family. She was born on August 6, 1960 in Lubbock. She graduated from Christ the King High School in 1978 and attended Texas Tech. She became a licensed Cosmetologist and worked in Lubbock and San Antonio.

Gini was the daughter of Rufus and Julia Carrillo. She also has a sister, Catherine Deane Ramos of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Angelo Carrillo of San Antonio; a sister in law, Mary Ann Carrillo; nephews, Raymond and Robert Ramos, and Rufus Carrillo III; and niece, Angela Carrillo. Pallbearers will be: Robert Ramos, Raymond Ramos, David Carrillo, Mark Rosendo, Daniel Olivares Jr., Ricky Ramirez, Bobby Gaitan and Norman Cisneros.

Gini wished to thank her beloved physician Dr. Edward Richards, Dr. Diane Contreras of New York City, the staff of Southwest Cancer Center and Emy Sum, RN, with VistaCare Hospice.
