DELANEY, Mr. Henderson of Saginaw, Michigan, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Covenant Medical Center- Cooper after a brief illness. Age 85 years. He was born February 25, 1925 in Edwards, MS, son of the late Allen & Pauline Dulaney. Henderson later moved to Muskegon, MI and there he met and married Rosemary Dixon, from this union two children were born. He relocated to Saginaw, MI and found employment at the Chevrolet Grey Iron Plant, retiring after 25 years of service and was a member of the U.A.W. Local # 668. Henderson later married Lottie Walker on June 26, 1976, she predeceased him in 2005. Henderson was affiliated with many auxiliaries which included; The Old Timers of First Ward, Knights of Peter Claver, The Buena Vista Lion's Club in which he served as president for three consecutive terms, Knights of Columbus, The Senior Citizens of Marie Davis, The Epicurian Elk Lodge # 674 and also involved himself with the Advance Council. His memory will be cherished by; his daughter Jackie (Tom) Rembert Jr., Son, Delanor Delaney, step son, Milton Walker all of Saginaw, MI; three grandchildren, Martin Buchanan II, Janelle Rembert and Eric McClure; two great-grandchildren; eight sisters and three brothers; a special cousin, Ledora Farrell, Muskegon, MI; also a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Casimir Church, 2122 S. Jefferson Avenue. Fr. Reginaldo Salcedo will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans-Smith Funeral Home, 508 S. Washington Avenue.
