Jessie Bullock Guernsey was the daughter of James Bullock and M. Lucretia Cady and the second wife of Edward S. Guernsey. Before her marriage Jessie was a teacher in a school for the disabled.
Obituary from Jamestown (N.Y.) Evening Journal, Wed., May 31, 1939: "MRS. JESSIE GURNSEY CHERRY CREEK - Mrs. Jessie Gurnsey, widow of Edward Gurnsey, died at her home Tuesday morning, aged 77 years. She is survived by a stepson, Lawrence Gurnsey, Blossberg, PA., and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Frank Lewis, Lockport. Funeral services will be held at the Baptist church on Thursday at 2 p.m."
