Tekla came to America from Galicia, Austria to escape WWI. She grew up in what is now Odesnya, Kiev, Ukraine. She married Feodore Kostyszyn and raised four daughters: Anna, Mary, Sophie Jane and Julia. She worked in the caps department of the Searlright plant for 16 years. She died in a nursing home four years after a stroke.

The double marker reads Kostyshyn since she decided to Americanize their name, on the stone, when her husband died.

I'm not sure when she changed the spelling off her name. The ship passenger lists and the Death Index spell it Teckla. The city directories list her as Tillie.
