LOGAN MAN DIES
Charles Quinn Succumbs in
Hospital After Stroke
LOGAN, Jan. 2 — Charles Quinn,
65 years old, widely known resident
of this city, died early this
morning at the St. Mary's hospital,
Huntington, where he had been a
patient six weeks following a stroke
of paralysis.
Mr. Quinn came to the United
Statew about 46 years ago from Ireland.
He had been in business here
as proprietor of the Standard Clothing
company 19 years. He was a
charter member of the Logan Elks
lodge No. 1301 and was active in
civic affairs.
A guard of honor from the local
Elks lodge will go to Huntington
tonight and accompany the body
here tomorrow morning. The body
then will lie in state at the lodge
room until 11 o'clock Saturday
morning when the Elks ritual will
be read and religious services will
be conducted by Rev. Father Lawrence
Gallagher, pastor of Mount
Carmel Catholic church. Burial will
be in Logan Memorial park at Mc-
Connell.
Mr. Quinn is believed to be survived
by a brother in Ireland.
