Daughter of John Henry and Catherine Barto Magner of Monroeville, Allen County, Indiana; sister of Naomi and William.
Rosa Magner married Albert H. Pelz on June 15, 1895 in Adams County, Indiana. In the 1900 census, at St. Mary's, Adams County, Indiana, Albert was listed as a farmer; two children were listed - Eddie C. and Carley W. In the 1910 census at Adams, Allen County, Indiana a daughter, Sophia is also listed. The family farmed at Washington, Allen County, Indiana in the 1920 census with children: Edward E., Sophia, Albert Jr., and Lavina May. Their son, Carl, died in 1918 of Bright's disease, as did his grandmother, Catherine Barto Magner. In 1930, Albert, Rosa, Albert, and Lavina lived at Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana where Albert worked as a laborer in Public Utilities. In 1940, Albert and Rosa lived at Fort Wayne, with daughter, Lavina, who was married to William Schuler.

Mrs. Rosetta Pelz, 91, of the Allen County Nursing Home, died.....yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital...
Mrs. Pelz, formerly of 1043 Grant Ave., was born in Ohio and resided here most of her life. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons, Edward C. of Leo and Albert J., New Haven; two daughters, Mrs. Irwin Sims and Mrs. Mae Shuler, both of Fort Wayne, a brother, William Magner, Sioux City, Iowa; seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
