Harold Moise II, 86, husband of Clara Grant Moise, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 24, 1918, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Edwin Warren Moise and Louise Lenoir Moise. He graduated Sumter High School in the class of 1936

Mr. Moise was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter and was a class of 1940 graduate of The Citadel.

He was a retired stockbroker with Interstate Johnson Lane. He was a member of the Santee Club and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in World War II, retiring with the rank of brigadier general.

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; two sons, Harold Edwin Moise of San Antonio, Texas, and Henry Lenoir Moise of Hilton Head Island; and three grandchildren, Sarah Moise, Michael Moise and Kristen Moise.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Grant Moise and three brothers, Edwin Warren Moise Jr., Samuel Lenoir Moise and Paul Deleon Moise.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. John M. Barr and Mark Riggs officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 13 Glendale Court.

Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter, P.O. Box 338, Sumter SC 29151 or to a charity of one's choice.
