Obituary of Nettie Bunch Bowers
LUGOFF – Funeral service for Nettie Bunch Bowers, 96, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Blaney Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jacob Helsley will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Bowers, wife of the late James O. Bowers Sr., passed away at Prisma Health Richland on Tuesday, September, 1, 2020. Born in Moncks Corner, she was the daughter of the late Ludy William Bunch and Anna Victoria Fort (Bunch). She retired from BF Goodrich and was a lifelong member of Blaney Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and quilting. She was a proud mother and grandmother who cherished her family.
Surviving are sons, Jimmy Bowers (Georgia) of Elgin and Jacky Bowers (Karen) of Lugoff; daughter-in-law, Jan Haynes; grandchildren, Sammy Bowers (Vonda), Mary Helen Bowers, Jamie McNeely (J.D.), Melissa Boykin (Robbie), Vanessa Stroud (Michael), Pamela Riddle, Michael Haynes, Ashley Haynes; great-grandchildren, Brandon Bowers, Jase Bowers, Dillon Rabon, Bryce Rabon, Rance Rabon, Gage Ayscue, Grey Youngkin, Bryant Priester, Hannah Boykin, Marcus Boykin, Zoey Branham, Natasha Branham, and J.P. McNeeley; an lifelong friends, Rosa and Blease Kelly. She was predeceased by a son, David Lee Haynes, sister, Sanie Duncan; and brothers, Massey Bunch, Dwight Bunch and Buster Bunch.
