Andy Ammermann is the son of Frederick(Freerk) Ammermann and Anna Gerdes. He was married to Esther June Patten and 4 children were born to this union. .

Andy was a World War II vet, with the United States Army. He was a Paratrooper with the 82nd

Airborne.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and elder and also belonged to the church choir.

Andy was a construction worker and helped to build our turnepikes from Ohio to California.

Andy could not retire he always said he has to keep working, so after retiring from building roads he started his own lawn business. Andy was very well known in the Sturgis area.
