Mrs. Davis was born on February 2, 1905 in Alabama to Jim and Canzater Thompson. She spent her younger days growing up in Seminole, Oklahoma. On April 14, 1923, she was wed to Isaac Davis of Wybark and at an early age, joined Oak Grove A.M.E. church.
She was a devoted member of the church until her health failed. She was a loving mother to five children, two of which preceded her in death. Left to mourn her passing are; her brother, Walter Thompson of Wybark; her daughter, Bertha Abernathy of Gibson Station; two sons, Ivory Lee Washington of Kansas City, Missouri and Luther P. Terrell of Los Angeles, California; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
