Professional Wrestler. He was best known by the ring names of Chris Kanyon and "Mortis." He made his debut in 1992 using the name Chris Morgan. In the early part of his career he was a practicing physical therapist and wrestling only part-time, but after three years he chose wrestling. He appeared in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as a jobber and later joined Mark Starr to form a team called "Men at Work." This team always lost, in part because Chris would take out a measuring tape and measure things at the most inconvenient times, and fizzled very soon. After taking some time off from WCW, he reappeared as the masked "Mortis" and teamed with Brian Clark ("Wrath") before going solo with the Raven's Flock faction. He then left this group and feuded with its leader, Raven. His other opponents included Glacier and Ernest ("The Cat") Miller. During his 14 years in the ring, he held four tag team titles and the WCW United States Championship title. Since he was openly gay, some wrestlers refused to work with him, and it has been speculated that his sexuality hindered a promising career. Chris was found dead in his home, with a bottle of prescription drugs by his side. He was 40 years old.
