In loving memory of Roberta McCoy, 69 of Turkey Creek, Ky. who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 8, 1940 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of the late James Cleston and Gredis Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie McCoy Sr., a great grandson, Douglas Chandler Cassell, three brothers, Jay, Curtis and William "Dover" Robinson and one sister, Okie Mae Clark.

Roberta was a retired cook for the Pike County Board of Education at Turkey Creek Elementary School and a member of the McVeigh United Baptist Church.

Roberta was a loving Mother of seven children who survives her, one son, Johnnie Jr. (Romona) McCoy of Turkey Creek, Ky; six daughters, Chris (Gary) Wolford of South Williamson, Ky., JoAnn (Jeff) Johnson of Williamstown, Ky., Pat (James) Hardin of Belfry, Ky., Donnie (Jerry) Cannon of Crittenden, Ky., Sharon (Mike) Adkins of Turkey Creek, Ky. and Pam (Paul) Smith of Turkey Creek, Ky.; one brother, Leon Robinson of Brushy Creek, Ky.; three sisters, Virgie (George) Robinette of Brushy Creek, Ky, Tilda Hinkle of Pikeville, Ky. and Faye Robinson of Alabama; seventeen grandchildren, Joseph (Ruby) McCoy of Sparta, Ky., Johnathon McCoy of Turkey Creek, Ky., Douglas Cassell of Turkey Creek, Ky., LeAnn Wolford of Owenton, Ky., Trish (Billy) Thompson of Hillard, Fl., Lantz Parsley of Hatfield, Ky., Amanda (George) Wilkerson of Rockhouse, Ky., James (Kim) Hardin of Belfry, Ky., Autumn (Curtis) Vaughn of Crittenden, Ky., Dawson, Charity and Faith Cannon of Crittenden, Ky., David Earnest of Aflex, Ky., Brittany Earnest of Turkey Creek, Ky., Sarah Ann Lowe of Belfry, Ky., Dawn (Officer Chris) Pittaluga of Erlanger, Ky. and Danny "Frog" Whitt II of Turkey Creek, Ky.; 15 great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren and 22 step great grandchildren. Our Mother was a very special and wonderful person in all of our lives who we all will hold dear to our hearts.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 2 at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Orbie Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with her grandsons, Joseph and Johnathon McCoy, Douglas Cassell, Lantz Parsley, James Hardin, David Earnest and Danny "Frog" Whitt serving as pallbearers; Honorary pallbearers, will be grandson, Dawson Cannon, and three great-grandchildren, Jared Wilkerson, Lil Joseph McCoy and Matthew Pittaluga. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Thursday, April 1 at the Funeral Home Chapel with special services at 7 p.m.
