Employed as a bartender for over 40 years, working with his brother Alex for over 25 years, also the American Legion, the Silver Jug and the Christmas Inn. Veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. Member of the American Legion, Lemont Post #243.
Preceded in death by his wife, Julie, nee Gorszczyk. Survived by a daughter, Madeline (John) Wojtowich of Maple Grove, MN; two grandchildren, Matthew and Karen Wojtowich; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend, Ray "Pierre" Slachetka of Lemont.
Visitation Tuesday, 2-8 p.m., at the Markiewicz Funeral Home, 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Funeral services Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, 9:30 a.m. to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
