Wurtsboro, Dec. 31 - Adam Jacobs, who with his wife recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, died yesterday at his home after an illness of three months. He was born in Hamden, Delaware county, on August 22, 1846, and was the son of Dr. Adam and Ruth Barnes Jacobs. He was a lifelong resident of Wurtsboro.
He was married to Sabrina Yorks, who is now 86 years of age. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, Ellenville.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Albert Jacobs, of Wurtsboro; three daughters, Mrs. L. Dierfelter, of Middletown, Mrs. Amelia Babcock, and Eva Morehouse, of Wurtsboro; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Reformed Church, Wurtsboro. Rev. Agnew, of Ellenville, will officiate. Burial will be in Sylvan cemetery, Wurtsboro.
