Phillip Schulte was the son of
Gergard and Angelina Schulte.
He was the brother of:
Herman, Theresa, Albert, George,
Frank, Clemens, and Joseph.
This family came to the United States
in 1859, from Hanover, Germany. They
are listed as passengers on the Brennar
Vessel from Gernamy and were destined
for St. Louis, Missouri. Some members
of this family settled in Wisconsin.
Phillip, Albert, Frank, Clemens, and
Joseph moved to Iowa, settling north of
Breda, Iowa.
Phillip was married to Magdaline Seipker,
and they were the parents of:
Mary Angeline (John F. Thelan), George,
Frank, Phillip Jr., Joseph, Ella (John Gute),
Charlotte (Lottie) Mae (William Magner),
Ludwig M. (Ludg), and Anthony J. (Tony).
Daughter, Mary Angeline was born Dec. 9,
1869, in Rockford, Illinois. George and
Frank were also born in Illinois. Phillip
Jr. was their first child born in Sac Co. Iowa.
In 1895, this family was living on
Section 31, of Township 86, with seven
of their nine children and Phillip's
mother, Lotta. In 1908, Phillip and
Madgaline bought a farm along Highway
175, next to the Tile Plant, Auburn;
later they moved to Ash Street, between
Second and Third, in Auburn, Iowa.
