He leaves two brothers, Paul Aboody Jr. and Richard Aboody, both of Worcester; three sisters, Marion Haddad, Naphie Samara and Grace Aboody, all of Worcester; nieces and nephews. A brother, John Aboody died in May, and a sister, Adele MacKoul, died in 1996. He graduated from Commerce High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Aboody co-owned and served as president of the El Morocco Restaurant, a family business, for more than 50 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, several Syrian-Lebanese organizations in Worcester, and the Heritage Society.
He constructed many award-winning floats for Worcester parades.
He also appeared in several full-length movies while living in Hollywood.
The funeral will be held Thursday,from the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a service in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
