Hon. David Roberts, "Bryngoleu" came from Caergybi, Anglesey in 1846. Mr. Roberts was born 1811, and married Miss Margaret Hughes in 1828. They came here in 1846 and located on a farm on section 24, town of Ottawa & section 19, town of Genesee. Nine children were born to them, two of whom died in Wales, and two died here before the father. Mr. Roberts was a fine appearing man and very able. He was elected a member of the Wisconsin legislature in 1858, and was a member of Bethania Church. John H. Roberts "Seion" was his son; Phoebe, a daughter, married Captain Robert Jones. ~ from p64 of "The Welsh Community of Waukesha County"
