TUCKER, Lenton after a long, courageous fight, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. He was a native of LaGrange, Georgia and had resided in Dayton many years. He worked for many years at Antique Auto and was also a self-employed Auto Mechanic. He was a member and faithful Deacon of Refuge Missionary Baptist Church until failing health prevented him from serving. Lenton was preceded in death by his parents James and Whittie Tucker, son Daryle Tucker, brothers Rufus and Johnny E. Tucker, brother-in-law Donald Smith. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years Doris Tucker; sons Lenton, Walter, Ryan, Bryan and Eugene Terell Tucker; mother-in-law Gertrude Smith; daughter-in-law Claudia Tucker; sister-in-law Mildred (Rev. Ambus) Sledge; brother-in-law Dave Smith; brothers Haywood (Essie) Tucker, Joseph (Evelyn) Tucker, of Dayton, James L. (Arlene) Tucker, Marion (Barbara Ann) Tucker and A.J. (Annette) Tucker, of LaGrange, GA; sisters Christine Williams, Yvonne (Bobby) Palmer, of LaGrange, GA, grandchildren Daveon, De'Von, Dontae' Tucker; special nieces Jeanette Tucker, Chantis Holly; special friends Howard and Lana Turner, Edith Edwards, Rev. Raliegh Thornton Sr.; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Funeral service 11:00 AM Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Refugee Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Viewing 9:00 AM until the time of service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Ceremonies entrusted to McLin Funeral Chapel Northern Hills, 2801 North Gettysburg Avenue. [email protected].
