Augusta died at her home, 417 Phoenix Ave, following an illness of 9 years from heart trouble. She was born in Stembal, Germany. She married John Kubel in 1876 and was later married to Dietrick Pagels in 1888. They came to America in 1890, and settled in Bloomington.
She was survived by 5 children: John Hubel, of St. Louis; Mrs. J.L. Rodabaugh of Greenbur, PA; Mrs. Herman Woith, William Pagels and Mrs. Anna Day, all of Bloomington, and 13 grandchildren.
She was a member of the Evangelical Friedens Church.
