MRS. GEO. PAULSEN AND LOUIS
BECKER MOURN MOTHERS'S DEATH

Mrs. George Paulsen and Louis Becker
have the sympathy of many Spirit Lake friends in the death of their aged mother, Mrs. Martin Becker, of Manning. Mrs. Becker had been ill for nine weeks with cancer and Mrs. Paulsen has been at her bedside caring for her and was with her when she passed away Saturday morning. Mr. Becker arrived at the bedside of his mother only a short time after she had passed away.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Manning and interment was made there. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Paulsen, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Paulsen, of Ocheyedan, attended the services.

Mrs. Becker was born in Germany 81 years ago and came to America in 1880, where they have since made their home. Mr and Mrs. Becker celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in February 1931. Mrs. Becker is survived by her husband and six children, Mrs. Geo. Paulsen, Spirit Lake; Geo. Becker, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Anna Wright of Montezuma; Mrs. Gertrude Gruhn, of Manning; and Louis Becker, of Spirit Lake, and serveral grandchildren. Mrs. Becker is the last in a family of eight brothers and sisters. All of the children were there for the service but Mrs. Thomas of California, who was unable to come.
