Nadine Jewell Reed, 81 of Lake City, died Aug. 16 at her home.
She was born on March 18, 1931, in Middlesboro, Ky.
Nadine was a member of the Lake City Women's Club where she was the secretary for over 20 years.
Nadine loved crafts of all sorts. She made many different crafts for many friends and children throughout the years. She also enjoyed researching genealogy in her family and others.
Nadine was instrumental in organizing the Veterans Memorial Service in Lake City every year. She believed that all veterans both deceased and living should be honored in all ways possible.
Nadine will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann Ellenberg Lester; brother, Homer Lester; and sisters, Geraldine Foust and Ruth Newport.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Reed, of Lake City; daughter, Debra Reed, of Bloomsfield, N.M.; along with many special friends.
Funeral services were held Aug. 19 with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating.
Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City
