JOHN ZIULKOWSKI, JR.
age 72 of Portage passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010. He was born on July 7, 1937 in Gary, Indiana. John graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Sturdivant, WI. He retired from Dixie Dairy where he worked in production and was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 142. John volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader for Portage Pack #487 for many years. He was a longtime member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Hedwigs Church. John was a caring neighbor and loyal friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Anne Ziulkowski (nee Boguslawski); 3 sons, Ronald (Sheryl) Ziulkowski, Michael (Stephanie) Ziulkowski, and Paul (Marlene) Ziulkowski all of Portage, IN; 1 sister, Genevieve Price of Crown Point, IN; 7 grandchildren, Michael II, Jonathon (Susan), Nathan, Vanesa, Natalie (fiancée Dan Reisen), Elizabeth, and Gabrielle Ziulkowski; brothers-in-law, Steve Vidmich of Boca Raton, FL, John (Beverly) Boguslawski of West Burlington, IA; special friends, Frank and Carole Komenda, and Margaret Oleska. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Ziulkowski, Sr.; 1 brother, Casimir Zulkowski; 3 sisters, Irene Zukowski, Evelyn Vidmich, and Sophie Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa FL 33607. Visitation is Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Nativity of Our Savior, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage.
