Born July 28, 1927 to Jacob Dykman and Gertrude Holtrap; Jennie was the youngest child and only daughter born. She had six brothers and grew up on a farm in Lynden, WA. Jennie's parents both came from Holland.
Jennie and Walter had one daughter, Doris born of their marriage and she and her husband had two sons. Doris died six weeks after her father was suddenly killed in a tragic car accident.
In about 1950, Jennie and Walter built a home located at 6411 Elliott Way, Everett, WA where they resided until Walter passed away. It was a small home with cedar lined closets, three bedrooms, with solid hardwood floors. A lovely home that had many happy stories of family times within its walls.
Jennie and Walter both loved kittens and she always had a smile on her face. She was a blessing to those who knew her and certainly a blessing to me.
I thank God for bringing us together.
