Death of Andrew Pringle
The death of Mr. Andrew Pringle occurred at his home, four miles north of Harveyville, on Friday, March 15, 1889. The cause of his death was pneumonia and he had been ill only about two weeks. The funeral took place Sunday and was largely attended. The interment was in the Harveyville cemetery. Mr. Pringle was born in Melrose, Scotland, October 28th, 1827, making him sixty-one years of age his last birthday. He went from Scotland to Canada in 1857 and came to Kansas in 1870, and settled near Harveyville where he resided up to the date of his death. A widow and five sons survive the deceased. The sons are Andrew, William and John W. Pringle, of Harveyville, J.T. Pringle of Burlingame, and Robert Pringle, residing at present in Texas. Mr. Pringle was a highly respected and esteemed citizen. He was a man of the strictest integrity and a conscientious, consistent Christian gentlemen. The bereft relatives will receive the sincere sympathy of all who know them in this hour of sorrow.
