Mrs. Alma Baumgartner, 93, Monroe, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1978, in the New Glarus Home, where she had been living since 1974.
Born in Washington Township on June 2, 1885, she was the daughter of Albert & Anna Angeline (Bieri) Weissmiller. She attended Washington Township schools, and was married on Feb. 28, 1905 to William C. Baumgartner. They lived in Washington and Sylvester Townships. He died on Nov. 25, 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Harry and Paul, Monroe, and Kenneth, Lancaster; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers [Albert and Lester]; one grandchild and one daughter-in-law.
She was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church, W.S.C.S., and a former member of the GAP Church and a charter member of the Green County Homemakers.
Funeral Services were held in the Gohlke-Sharer Funeral Home in Albany. Rev. Van Mitchell officiated. Burial was at the GAP Cemetery.
