Ernestina Rizzi was born Ernestina Magagna on October 31, 1885 in the village of Brez, Austria (now Italy). She was married December 6, 1905 to Giovanni Battista Rizzi (John Rizzi) and died October 23, 1964 in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

MRS. ERNESTINA MAGAGNA RIZZI

The Rev. John J. O'Connor celebrated the requiem mass in St. Patrick's Church, Kemmerer, Monday morning for Mrs. Ernestina (Teenie) Magagna Rizzi, who died at south Lincoln Hospital Friday morning.

She had been ill several months. The Rev. Charles F. Taylor, a long-time friend of the family delivered the funeral sermon. The Very Rev. John Marley, Rock Springs, and the Rev. Thomas O'Flannagan, Pinedale, attended the services. Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Born Oct. 31, 1885 in Brez, Tyrol, Trentino, Italy, to Valentine and Catherine Menghni Magagna, she came to Rock Springs in 1901, to reside with her brother, Louis Magagna.

She became the bride of John B. Rizzi Dec. 6, 1905, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Rock Springs. They moved to Kemmerer in 1914.

One son, Eugene, died in 1934.

Survivors are her husband, John B. Rizzi, Kemmerer; one daughter, Mrs. James (Fannie) Lane, Rock Springs; one son, Victor C., Kemmerer; one sister, Josephine Magagna, Brez, Tyrol, Italy; one grandson, James Lane, Rock Springs; Mrs. Marvin J. (Georgia Goldberg) Hunt, a ward of the Rizzis' for eight years, New Orleans, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Arthur Piz, Dale Morrow, Robert Witherspoon, George Sawaya, Robert Bott and John Fagnant.
