A resident of Hammond, she died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Slidell Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Slidell. She was 89 and a native and former resident of Amite. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens, Amite.
Survived by three daughters, Virginia C. Fisher, Laura A. Costanza and Mary C. Perrin, all of Hammond; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sonny and Lynette Costanza, Amite, and Louis J. and Cindy Costanza, Okmulgee, Okla.; seven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren; four brothers, Sam Ruffino and Nunzio Ruffino, both of Amite, and Louis Ruffino and Joe Ruffino, both of Baton Rouge; and three sisters, Mary Checchin, McHenry, Ill., Stella Terracina, Thibodaux, and Josie Burrell, Amite.
Preceded in death by her husband, Phillip R. Costanza; two brothers, John Ruffino and Tony Ruffino; and two sisters, Pamella Alack and Rose Ruffino. She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 2050. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
