Excerpt -- John Mason, 87, of Reedsville, died Tuesday morning at Pugh Nursing Home in Morgantown. A lifelong resident of Preston County, he was a son of the late Hester McCroby Mason and Joyce Mason (should read Joshua). Survivors include one son, Paul, of Reedsville; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ray of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Vivian Smith of Miami, Fla.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Reedsville Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Arthurdale Cemetery.
