Ash Flat - Uncle Fount Rogers died on the 5th inst., at about 5 o'clock p.m. after several days illness.

Fountain Rogers - [Sarah J. King writes her father's obituary. She says he "was born ____ Co, TN, Sept 18, 1829. He emigrated to Lawrence co, Ark in the year 1851, and was converted to the Christian religion and joined the Methodist Episcopal church South under the ministry of William T. Noe, in the year 1857.
He enlisted in the Confederate army in 1862, and fought until the close of the war. His home has been in Sharp co. since the county was formed. He was married twice, our mother, his second wife, died and leaving him alone more than two years ago.
Several months ago he came to make my house his home. In the ___ of Aug. his horse fell, ___ over him, bruising his ___ and breast, and from then on, he suffered pain. On the first of Sept. a slow fever set up. (He died Oct 6) . . . the funeral services were conducted by Rev. George ___ and we laid his body by ___ side at the old Shiloh graveyard to await the resurrection."]
