Kaliher, Eugene (Gene), of Newport Beach passed away on Aug. 20, 2009. He was born in Elk River, MN Oct. 16, 1916 and moved to CA in 1938. He was employed at Douglas Aircraft for 36yrs and also worked for Orange Co. He was an avid golfer and bike rider. He is survived by his loving wife of 67yrs, Phyllis (McCrary); daughter, Kathy Jackson of Wayzata, MN; son, Mike of Stafford, AZ; grandchildren Sharon Hoeting of Excelsior, MN, Carolyn Jackson of SF, Margaret Bloomer of Orono, MN, Shane Kaliher serving in Afghanistan and Heather Strother of Rancho Cucamonga and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Riley. Memorials preferred to SOS 155 Superior Costa Mesa.
