Mozelle moved to Western Okalhoma between Sweetwater and Reydon as a small child. She married Jesse Taylor Barker on October 5, 1938 in Cheyenne, OK. They moved to California remaining there for a few years before moving back to Oklahoma where they made their home in the Reydon community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son James Taylor Barker and 2 brothers B.I. and Ivan VanLoon.
She is survived by 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Jessie and Troy Harmon of Pocasset, OK, Shirley and Arnetl Bryan of Pampa, TX, Willene and Don Burks of Mobeetie, TX and Patsy Ann and John H. Brown of Elk City, OK; 1 sister, Yvonne of Oakland, CA; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were August 9, 1997 at the White Rose Cemetery officiated by Alberta Helton with burial at the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
