Funeral Liturgy for Stephan Belus, 82, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of St. John the Baptist in Buffalo. Vigil of the Deceased with rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday also at the church. Rite of Committal will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Belus died Jan. 20, 1992, at the Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.

He was born Jan. 16, 1910, the son of John and Dorothy Mikula Belus on the family homestead near Banner.

During World War I, Mr. Belus helped haul wheat for the Hoover Administration. In 1928, he began ranching in the Ucross area with his brothers. Mr. Belus spent the rest of his life in the ranching business raising sheep and cattle. He enjoyed raising Hereford cattle, working with a team of horses and hunting.

Survivors include two sisters, Ann Ballek and Sister Mary St. Luke; and 7 brothers: Joe, Phillip, Jacob, Andrew, Valentine, Cyril and Martinl several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Memorials to the Building Fund of the church, 532 N. Lobban Ave., Buffalo, Wyo., 82834 would be appreciated by the family. The Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
