Elizabeth "Lizzy" Collins was born to Nelson Todd Collins and Leah Ethaline Nusbaumer in Wells County, Indiana. She was raied on the family farm near Van Buren, Indiana. She had one half sister, two half brothers, two sisters, five brothers. She attended Van Buren High School. She married Clifford "Pug" Creech in 1963 and they lived in Peru, Indiana. There they helped raise there niece, Sarah Jane Collins, as there own during the 70's until her husband died in 1981. She then married Darrel Millican in 1983 and they lived in Peru, Indiana until his death in 1990. After the death of her husband She moved back to the family farm in Van Buren, Indiana, to help take care of her mother until her death in 1994. After the death of her mohter she moved to a house in Marion, Indiana where she lived until her death.
Lizzy was a wonderful cook and very humorous and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family dearly.
In July of 2009 she become very ill has she had an abdominal anyursim and had to be taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne for emergent surgery to repair it. She never made it out of the hospital as her heart was not strong enough to recover from the illness. Services were held at the furguson funeral home in Van Buren, Indiana. With the Rev. Phillip Herd officating.
