Funeral Services for Dorothy Hogue Rogers, 93, of Tulsa, were held September 1, 2009 at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sperry, OK. The Seventy Donnie Carter and Elder C.H. Whiteman officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Joe Farrar, Lance Hester, Chad Gilliland, Jared Rogers, Justin Rogers and Steve Bullock. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Dorothy was born February 3, 1916 in Sperry, OK to Asa and Cora (Neighbors) Hogue and was their last surviving child. She was baptized June 1, 1924 in Bird Creek at Sperry. She passed away August 29, 2009 in Tulsa, OK.

She was a professional cook, and loved feeding her family, especially on Sundays after church. Dorothy loved gardening and grew the most beautiful roses. She was also an advocate for any stray animal. She loved playing cards with friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters Carol Farrar of Tulsa, Sharon Miller and husband Mike of Tulsa; son, Elbert Rogers and wife Coral of Tulsa; ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Rogers; son, Willie Walker; daughters, Clorece Eddingfield and Leona Lile; parents, brothers and sisters.
