Hellen's first name has been spelled, "Ellen," and her maiden name was possibly spelled as a slight variation of Perry, i.e. "Perrie," "Pirie," etc. There was at least one Perry family who settled in Wabasha County that lived near the Grays, and they very well could have been relatives of Hellen's.
