LOLA W. SIMONOWICH, 78, Oct. 23. Funeral 11 a.m., Monday, St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. Burial, Pinewood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Wilker Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mrs. Lola White Simonowich, 78, died suddenly at her home on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. Lola, a native of Bumpass, Va., made her home in Greenville in 1954. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. Lola was a faithful, humble, loving and selfless woman whose two great loves in life were her faith in God and her children. She leaves behind a legacy of love for which her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be forever grateful. "Her children arise and called her blessed ... (Proverbs 31:28a) Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Hite and Teresa Wood both of Greenville; five sons, Nickey Simonowich, of Hookerton, David Simonowich and wife, Cheryl, Robert Simonowich and wife, Pauline, Michael Simonowich and wife, Becky, all of Greenville and Joseph Simonowich and wife, Tami, of Seaboard, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Korkuc, of Morehead City, Lilly Cobb, of Greenville and Joan Reading, of Strasburg, Va. The family will receive friends at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church today from 6Ð8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Gabriel's Catholic Church Building Fund, 3250 Dickinson Ave., Greenville, NC 27834.
